About

Toronto's First Chabad Centre

The Rebbe's Shul

For over 65 years 44 Edinburgh Drive has been the place where thousands of men, women and children of the Toronto Jewish Community and around the world, have had their time, their connections, and indeed, their successful Jewish beginnings, at this location.

Purchased with the guidance and participation of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, our centre has been the initial seed of Chabad Centres across the GTA and the inspiration for a number of Toronto Shuls, Jewish day schools, Yeshivot, community Mikvaot, and outreach organizations, spanning Rabbinical members, educators, project leaders, community visionaries, neighbourhood residents of all flavours of Jewish backgrounds, traditions and affiliations. They have all called this very special place that the Rebbe dearly treated as his own place, their home.

The Beth Joseph Lubavitch Chabad Community Centre:

A Bold Reimagination

As we celebrate our rich history and extraordinary achievements, we seek to meet the unique and evolving needs of the local Jewish community.

As we innovate and expand our programming, our current facility can no longer house the ever growing number of activities and services that we currently offer the community, such as our Shul, Preschool, Summer Camp, Hebrew School, Adult Education, Mikvah, Jewish Heritage and Holiday Celebration and Volunteering projects.

As we launch an ambitious capital campaign to more than double the size of our building, we invite you to become a part of our growing community, a place where you can call home.

You can help us make this vision become a reality by partnering with us today.
